Jack Marlowe is beginning to worry his son has somehow, perhaps magically, passed on his abysmal taste. He can only be grateful that, in Sally’s case, it doesn’t appear to be romantic in nature.

Still, he’d like to have a word with Will, or maybe several, because of all the people his granddaughter has taken a shine to, it’s the one with the sunglasses who won’t answer questions about his past.

He and Sally have discussed this. He’s fully willing to admit his own past may have contributed to her laissez-faire attitude in this case — not to mention the combined influence of Powell, Moore, and Alexander in her childhood.

Naturally, of all the people she could befriend, she’d find the shadiest one.

Of course, Montoya starts to look a lot better when he finds her in the bar with a mildly drunk Bradford, debating the finer points of strategy … as they pertain to Wile E. Coyote’s pursuit of the Roadrunner.

He needs another cigarette.
